My favourite artist: Carlitos Vives

Hello there, today I'm going to talk about Carlos Vives, who's my favourite artist. Carlitos is a colombian singer, actor and composer, who started his artist career in 1982, acting in Tiempo Sin Huella soap opera. After a few years, he started to sing and in 1990 he published his first album called Tierra del Olvido. He is recognized in the entire american continent for mixing some different music styles, like cumbia and vallenato with pop. This recognized made that Carlitos won two Grammy Awards and nine Latin Grammy Awards, breaking the record of the artist nominated to this award.

Carlos Vives now

I enjoy his songs and music style because I love to dance. I think the vallenato, champeta, salsa, merengue and bachata are the best music styles in the entire world. You can be really happy feeling the music in your foot.

I discovered Carlitos Vives when I was very child, maybe when I was six or seven. I remember my grandfather always played in our road trips from Punta Arenas to Concepción a song called Moralito. And it was funny because his surname was Morales, so the song was like for him. I invite you to listen my favourite artist and let your foot move on with the rhythm.
