My best holidays: South Africa
During a difficult semester in the University, I decided to take winter holidays. I had a lot of places in mind, like Cuba, Isla de Pascua or maybe Punta Arenas, the city where I was born. Someday I was visiting Lan airline's web, when I saw an amazing offert to go to South Africa. I past a few days calculated my money and my time, and I talked to my girlfriend about this opportunity. She told me that maybe South Africa was a dangerous country and other things, but finally she decided to go with me and we were planning our holidays during three months.
We arrived to South Africa on August 12 of this year, and we spent ten days there between Johannesburg and Cape Town, both of them are central cities in South Africa. First we arrived to Johannesburg, and amazing city with a lot of people, specially black people. There we had the opportunity to met Ivan Rojas, a chilean man who had live in Pretoria - a city near to Johannesburg - since 1980. He told us in South Africa actually live around fifty thousand people; fourty thousand of black people, and the other ten thousand of white people.
Like we all know, South Africa was marked by the Apartheid since 1942 to 1994, when one of the best leaders in the entire world was released from prision. I'm talking about Nelson Mandela, the man who liberated south african people from the hands of the european and colonist people. Since that period of the history, South Africa has been taking a lot of inclusive policies, like all the jobs must have a minimum of "racial quotes". It means that if I go to South Africa to work, they have to choose black people first than me, and honestly I think that's a great policy.

We spent another five days in the Kruger Park, when we made a safari tour in an open car. During that days, we saw a lot of amazing animals, like lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffalos, impalas, zebras, etc. I spent that days thinking about The Liong King, that experience was like have been inside the movie.
The last days we spent in South Africa, we went to Cape Town to visit the Table Mountain Park, the Cape of Good Hope and the Waterfront, all of them an amazing places. I definitely recommended you to visit this city if you have the chance to go to South Africa one day. I think a lot of people have preconceptions and wrong stereotypes about this country, but I think is incredible in a lot of ways. Do you know that South Africa has eleven official languages? All of them represented people who live in different places, doesn't matter if they live near of far from the big cities, they are all important people and for that reason the State of South Africa includes all this languages officially. And actually, they are trying to included the sign language in that list. So yes, South Africa is an example to other countries in many ways.
